DANIEL RICCIARDO

At the age of nine, Ricciardo started his career as a pilot, still in the GO-Kart. At sixteen, he started to participate in competitions still in Australia, attracting attention and getting a scholarship for the Asian Formula BMW Championship.

Increasingly imposing his name in motorsport and becoming notorious, Daniel was invited by Motoworld Racing to join the team and compete in the British Formula BMW. In the years 2007 and 2008, the Australian participated in the Italian and European Renault Formula achieving good results.

However, in the middle of the second year, Daniel Ricciardo jumped out of the category and competed in Formula 3 with the SG team. The following season, he transferred to Carlin Motorsport and won the title. In October 2009, he signed a contract with Tech 1 to compete in Formula Renault 3.5 the following year - winning a series of victories and pole positions, remaining in the modality until 2011, already at ISR Racing.

And it was in this year that Ricciardo debuted in Formula 1 when it was announced by HRT. At the end of the season, the Australian was confirmed as the main driver of Toro Rosso, where he stayed for two years ( 2012 and 2013).

2014-2018

Promoted to the main team in 2014, Daniel Ricciardo remained in the energy team until December 2018. It was at RBR where the Australian won his first victory, at the Canadian Grand Prix, in his debut year. Wearing the blue jumpsuit, Ricciaro won seven major awards, the victory in Monaco 2018 being the most notorious of his career so far. It was at Red Bull too, where Daniel achieved his best result in the Formula 1 drivers' championship: twice third place.

2019-2020

Taking the motorsport world by surprise, Daniel Ricciardo arrived at the Renault F1 Team in early 2019 after signing a two-year contract with the factory team. However, unlike the magical '' debout '' in the former team, the debut in the yellow and black squad was not as expected, with a troubled season. It was only the following year that the Australian again achieved positive results including two podiums in 2020, two years after his last stint in the category's most desired position.

Surprising yet again, Ricciardo decided, even before the end of the 2020 season, to announce his trip to McLaren. Now, the Australian reaches his third team in Formula 1 and comes with the ambition to try to win the world championship.
